On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, Astronomical Centre Rijeka participated for the first time at the event Baltazar na Gradini 2017.
The only Centre in Croatia during the event presented its programs at digital planetarium and observatory as well as the possibilities for school visits, seminars, lectures and educations in the Centre's spaces.

From August 7, 2017, due to annual maintenance the following pools will be unavailable for all users: Olympic pool 1 (indoor pool), Pool 25 m and Children's pool.
Olympic pool 2 (outdoor pool) will be available for public from Monday to Friday from 6.15 to 8.00 am and from 12.30 to 3.30 pm, Saturdays from 1.00 to 3.30 pm and Sundays from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm.

From July 26 to June 21, 2017, Swimming Pools Kantrida were a place for training camps for national swimming teams of Estonia and Singapore as well as swimmers from Latvia, Panama, Slovakia, Austria, Croatia, before the World Championships in Budapest.
World famous swimmers, members of US national swimming team, have choosen Swimming Pool Kantrida for the second time for their training camp before the World Championships that takes place in Budapest from July 14 to 30, 2017.
Sports club Red Top Swim from Great Britain chose Swimming Pools Kantrida for their swimming camp for the third time.
Club's members are adults interested into more effective swimming for fun, fitness or competition.
On Friday, June 30, 2017, literary festival Lit link was held at Astronomical Centre Rijeka.
During its fifth edition, festival introduced British and Croatian authors, editors and publishers.

Also part of the program of the Science festival will be held at the Astronomical Centre Rijeka.
From April 8 to 13, 2017, swimmers from Schwimmverein Wörthersee trained at Swimming Pools Kantrida.
Young swimmers as well as their coaches were amazed with the training conditions in Rijeka and had only words of praise for the entire trainig camp.
