Rijeka sport Ltd., as company which manages Astronomical Centre Rijeka, won a prize at International Property Awards 2014 in category Public Services Development for Europe for Astronomical Centre Rijeka.
International Property Awards have four main categories: Development, Interior Design, Architecture and Real Estate.
Each category has more subcategories, so Rijeka sport applied Astronomical Center Rijeka for category-Development, subcategory- Public Services Development for Europe in 2014. Rijeka sport Ltd. and its Astronomical Center Rijeka will also participate in a world competition for the best property in category Public Services Development.
International Property Awards are being held since 2005 and they are meant for residential and commercial property professionals from around the globe. The awards are split into regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, UK and USA. The highest-scoring winners from each region are automatically entered into the overall International Awards, which ultimately determine the world’s finest property companies.
Astronomical Center Rijeka was competing against other properties from Europe and for that region, it achieved the highest score.
Judging process starts at national level, continues at regional level, and the final award is an international recognition of a world's best property.
The score is calculated by combining scores of many different judges and the property was judged against every criteria point for that category and given a rating of poor, average, good, very good, or excellent for each criteria point.
Criteria for Public Services Development was including: Design criteria, Project goals, Challenges to overcome, The purpose of the project, Location, Details of build for the external appearance of the development as a whole and assess desirability and suitability for the target market, List the services and facilities on offer, Details of access, public transport and private car facilities, Provisions made for access by commercial vehicles, Safety, Security, Sustainability, Innovation.
Furthermore, after winning an award for European region, before announcing The world's best winner, judging process repeats, and each regional winner competes against eight other regional winners after it gets an international award. The international winner of all nine regions will be announced after gala dinner in December in London. Winners of every category are invited to attend.
